下著雪的冬天的博麗神社。

雖然這座神社曾因地震而倒塌，但現在已經完全恢復原本的模樣。

就在這樣的某一天，發生了一件讓博麗神社的巫女博麗靈夢大吃一驚的事情。

那就是在博麗神社附近突然升起白色柱狀物，也就是間歇泉。

平時只要發生什麼事情，她就會前去解決，但那件事卻是

在讓她驚訝的同時，也讓她感到高興的事。

間歇泉本來應該會融化積雪，並在周圍湧出能夠療癒不論人類或妖怪疲勞的溫泉。

――然而，靈夢的樂觀預測落空了。

從間歇泉湧出的不只有溫泉水。

接連湧出的，是各種異形之物。

那是地靈――住在地底的人們。

[About the Touhou Project system requirements]

Basically, if your PC runs Windows, the current titles can be launched,

but older titles such as Touhou Hongyoku, Youyoumu, and Eiyashou may not start properly depending on the conditions at launch.

Although the shrine had once collapsed in an earthquake, it has now fully returned to its original form.

One day, something happened that surprised Reimu Hakurei, the shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine.

That was a sudden white pillar rising near Hakurei Shrine, a geyser.

Normally, when something happens, she goes to solve it, but this incident was something that

surprised her and made her happy at the same time.

The geyser was supposed to melt the snow and cause hot springs to gush up around it that would soothe the fatigue of both humans and youkai.

However, Reimu's optimistic prediction was wrong.

What gushed from the geyser was not only hot spring water.

Odd beings kept springing forth one after another.

They were earth spirits, the people who live underground.
