The story is that you team up with the allied animal spirits who tipped you off that "the beast spirits of Hell are plotting to rule the surface by force," and go out to defeat them before it happens.

The three who head to Hell are Reimu, Marisa, and Youmu.

This is a shooting game that is darker than usual, has more beast elements, and is a little more aggressive.
